Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico and is an American-Mexican actor. She also sings. Her mom raised her in the USA and she was subject to several racial stereotypes, which made her feel like someone who was not wanted. After entering a ninth-grade school audition in which she was praised for her singing as she built confidence. It not only boosted her confidence, but it was also a change in the direction she pursued in her career. At the age of 22, she graduated from New York's Julliard School. She began her career at age 23 with Paul Simon's The Capeman on Broadway and the film You've Got Mail. The biggest accomplishment of her career occurred in the role of The Lady of The Lake as Spamalot's first Broadway production. In addition to being the only actress to get the Tony Award, but her performance was also praised by critics. The following year, in 2007, she was cast in the ABC series Grey's Anatomy and became more popular. Also, she is a well-known singer and has produced an extended show. Additionally, she works as a LGBT activist.
