She was born in Portland, Maine, she started her acting career at the age of a kid as a part of High Society, a popular Broadway musical. A Little Night Music - an original Stephen Sondheim song - was performed by the New York City Opera after she won a Theatre World Award. Her career grew to be a popular film actress, due to her performance in Twilight. The role was reprised on The Twilight Saga: New Moon. She starred in several scenes in Fear Itself as well as Comedy Bang! Bang! Anna Kendrick, who is also a vocalist, performed the song's cover version Cups from the soundtrack for the movie Pitch Perfect. She appeared in the music video. The song was a huge hit immediately.
